This is the fastest food in town
The continuous cacophony of cash register bells A major mistake cost me money this morning. Expensive it may be but the bells from the 4 or 5 cash registers were ringing constantly as shoppers checked out. This place is operated by the wedding hall kitchen which is cooking anyway. I saw people filling supermarket trolleys with ready cooked meals. I was stunned. This food must be costing 3 and 4 times the cost of uncooked food!
Vegetables Every veg you could think of. I took a container of yellow rice to go with the curry, another of green beans and fell for the sautéed potatoes which don’t go with anything but look great. I fell for a fancy bread, dropped a few breakfast biscuits in a bag, walked past the soups and then collided with the desserts. Help!
Desserts Desserts are basically unfair. They are not there for eating, they are a straight money- making device, designed to prize the last cent out of your pocket. I started by wavering between a blue/purple ice-cream, a basked Alaska and a Cream Caramel. Unable to decide I took all. I added a few slabs of what looked like a solid chocolate chocolate cake, dropped a few dollops of cream on it, closed my eyes as I passed the price tags and ran for the checkout.
